Inlays and Onlays

Image0016Here at Dr. Timothy Wellik DDS, we are proud to offer dental inlays and onlays for our patients.

Dental inlays and onlays are considered a conservative method of treating damaged teeth. They can be used instead of placing a full crown. Instead of filling in the tooth, Dr. Wellik may use dental inlays and onlays.

Inlays and onlays can be made in the office using CEREC in one visit. They are then bonded to your tooth.

The difference between inlays and onlays depend on how much of your tooth it covers. If the material is bonded to the center of the tooth, it is considered an inlay. If it covers your whole tooth or more than one point of your tooth, it is considered an onlay.

If you have any questions about dental inlays and onlays, don’t hesitate to contact us today at (512) 451-5183.
